César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández is a scholar of migration who regularly weighs in on pressing public affairs. A tenured associate professor of law at the University of Denver, he has been publishing crimmigration.com since 2009. He is currently serving his second consecutive one-year term as a member of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration. His op-eds have been published in the New York Times, the Guardian, Newsweek, Salon, and La Opinión. He has presented his academic research on approximately 70 occasions since 2010 and regularly appears in news stories about immigration matters. His latest book is Migrating to Prison: America’s Obsession with Locking Up Immigrants.
