Gerald Poyo

Gerald Poyo is the author of several books, including A Latino Memoir: Exploring Identity, Family and the Common Good; Exile and Revolution: José D. Poyo, Key West, and Cuban Independence; and Cuban Catholics in the United States, 1960-1980. The O’Connor Chair for the Study of Hispanic Texas and the Southwest, he has worked as a professor of Latin American and U.S. Latino History at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio since 1992.
