He has received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, and National Newspaper Association. Leigh Munsil

Leigh Munsil is the editor-in-chief of the San Antonio Report, a nonprofit newsroom in San Antonio. She previously held editor, reporter and staff writer positions with CNN Politics, POLITICO, The Blaze and The Dallas Morning News. Munsil holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Arizona State University, where she also studied Spanish and served as editor-in-chief of the university’s daily newspaper, The State Press.
