Hayan Charara

Hayan Charara is a poet, children’s book author, essays, and editor. He is also co-founder and series editor of the Etel Adnan Poetry Prize. Born in Detroit, he lived in New York City for many years but moved to Texas, where he has lived for the past twenty years. His most recent poetry book is These Trees, Those Leaves, This Flower, That Fruit.

Jennifer Michael Hecht

Jennifer Michael Hecht, a historian and poet, is the award-winning and bestselling author of the histories DoubtStayThe Happiness Myth, and The End of the Soul. Her poetry books include Who SaidThe Next Ancient World, and Funny. She earned her PhD in history from Columbia University and teaches in New York City. The Wonder Paradox: Embracing the Weirdness of Existence and the Poetry of Our Lives is her latest book.
