Amanda currently writes every morning and spends afternoons with her children.

Clay Smith is the chief of the Literary Initiatives office at the Library of Congress, the department that curates the National Book Festival and oversees the Library’s literary ambassadorships such as the United States Poet Laureate. He is the former literary director of the San Antonio Book Festival and the Texas Book Festival and the former editor-in-chief of Kirkus Reviews.
