In ¡Somos Tejanas! Chicana Identity and Culture in Texas), editors Norma E. Cantú and Jody A. Marín assemble contemporary writers who provide firsthand accounts of their experience. A can’t miss session on Tejana identity and Tejanidad, told through personal narratives, poetry, and essays.

Norma E. Cantú

Norma E. Cantú is the Norine R. and T. Frank Murchison Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at Trinity University. She has authored and edited multiple books, including co-editing Entre Guadalupe y Malinche: Tejanas in Literature and Art. She co-edited ¡Somos Tejanas! Chicana Identity and Culture in Texas with Jody Marín.

Jody A. Marín is a full professor of English at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she also serves as the interim Writing Center Director. She co-edited ¡Somos Tejanas! Chicana Identity and Culture in Texas with Norma E. Cantú.
