About the Event

In this chapter book graphic novel series by Greg Foley, Dex Dingo wants to be the “world’s greatest ever” at….something. Today, he’s going to be the best-ever inventor (Dex Dingo: World’s Best Greatest Ever Inventor). In this early reader graphic novel series by Kirk Reedstrom, quiet-loving Moose’s life is turned upside down by the free-wheeling Duck – and today they’re having a best-friends sleepover (Duck and Moose: Duck In The Dark!). This session is sure to be high-energy and full of fun!

Greg Foley

Greg Foley didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up. So he never really grew up. Just like Dex, he’s always wanted to be the World’s Best Greatest Ever at something. So he tries his best at being lots of different things like author, illustrator, designer, director, cartoonist, New Yorker cover artist, teacher, inventor, and dad.

Along the way Greg has received numerous honors, including the Charlotte Zolotow Award, Art Directors Club Gold and Silver Awards, a Grammy nomination, as well as a Guinness World Record, and his work has been exhibited at places like the Museum of Modern Art, Centre Pompidou, New York Public Library, Yale University’s Beinecke Library, and many more. Greg lives in Austin, Texas, with his family. His debut graphic novel is Dex Dingo: World’s Best Greatest Ever Inventor.

Kirk Reedstrom

USA Today-bestselling author Kirk Reedstrom has spent most of his adult life surrounded by books—he currently works for a public library system, and he used to be a bookseller at Blue Willow Bookshop, an independent bookstore in Houston, Texas. He has led children’s art workshops at the Kimball Art Museum and interned with William Joyce at Moonbot Studios. And he mixes all his past experiences with traditional and digital mediums to develop fun-filled characters with a little bit of mayhem. He enjoys creating books that make people laugh. His latest book is Duck and Moose: Duck In The Dark!
