As we commemorate Black History Month, we celebrate the contributions of African American authors who have enriched literature with their unique
voices, stories, and perspectives. For over a decade, the San Antonio Book Festival (SABF) has been a platform for showcasing talented authors nationwide, including many notable figures whose works continue to inspire and resonate with readers.
The SABF, now in its 12th year, remains committed to honoring the literary achievements of Black authors by featuring their works and inviting them to share their insights and experiences. This annual celebration showcases the diversity and richness of African American literature and fosters dialogue and connection among readers, writers, and communities.
Join us in honoring some of SABF’s esteemed authors and poets who have attended the festival in past years. Each has captivated readers with their powerful storytelling and continues to enrich lives and broaden our understanding of the world.
