Lawrence Wright

Lawrence Wright is a staff writer for The New Yorker, a playwright, a screenwriter, and the author of ten books of nonfiction, including The Looming TowerGoing Clear, and God Save Texas, and two previous novels, God’s Favorite and Mr. Texas. His books have received many honors, including a Pulitzer Prize. He and his wife are longtime residents of Austin, Texas. His latest novel is The Human Scale.

Michael Fischer is the Janet S. Dicke Professor in Public Humanities at Trinity University. He is the author of four books on literary analysis and critique and has been widely published in magazines and journals. He lives in San Antonio, Texas.
