About the Event

In Tiny Threads, a fashion-obsessed young woman finally has the job she’s always dreamed of – but it’s not too long until she uncovers hideous truths in the shadows of this world of glamour in this supernatural thriller by Lilliam Rivera. In Cynthia Pelayo’s Vanishing Daughters, a serial killer has claimed the lives of fifty-one women in the Chicagoland area, and as a journalist starts to research the killings, she realizes they’re deeply connected with her family’s own fairytales, legends, and past. These authors will discuss grief, the nightmares of real life, and writing social critique through horror.
