About the Event

Unfortunately, George Saunders is no longer able to join us in 2026.
We’ve already rescheduled though–catch him at SABF 2027.

George Saunders
visits San Antonio for the first time to discuss his latest novel, Vigil. Brimming with Saunders’s signature wit and wisdom, Vigil follows an oil baron’s journey from this life to the next, offering insight into capitalism, corporate greed, and the question of absolution. A Booker winner and National Book Award Finalist, Saunders is one of the United States’ greatest living writers. We are thrilled to welcome him to SABF.

Please note that for this session ASL interpretation will be offered by SAI Language Solutions, thanks to our generous Accessibility Sponsor, Community First Health Plans.
