Chuck Parrish

Chuck Parrish spent his 30 year legal career building and leading corporate legal teams, finding solutions to complex business issues and being a thought partner to executives and boards of directors. He served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary of the Board and Chief Compliance Officer of a Fortune 100 company until his retirement in April of 2016. Beyond books, Chuck’s true love is Jazz and he has been a Jazz DJ with KRTU 91.7 since 1990.  Chuck is a serious Jazz historian, with a personal vinyl collection of over 3500 LPs and CDs. Along with his good friends Bradley Kayser and James Sanders, he has co-produced over 30 jazz concerts in San Antonio through the years hosting internationally recognized jazz musicians here in San Antonio.  Chuck, Brad and James continue to produce “Riffs”, their weekly radio show on KRTU every Tuesday night at 8 pm (or streamed at KRTU.org). Chuck received his BA with Distinction and High Honors in History from the University of Virginia, followed by his JD from the University of Houston. He is a native Texan and has resided in San Antonio with his wife Anne since 1989. Their children, Cecile and Charles, both were born and raised in the San Antonio community. Reading and music infuse his life with beauty and nuance.
