Ed Snyder

Edward (“Ed’) Snyder is a San Antonio lawyer specializing in international business law and commercial litigation.   Ed is a graduate of the Phillips Exeter Academy, the University of Texas at Austin and he received his law degree from UT Law in 1994, after which he began his legal career with the United States International Trade Commission in Washington before moving to McAllen in the wake of the passage of NAFTA to practice international business law with the San Antonio-based law firm Martin, Drought & Torres.  After 3 years in McAllen, in 1999 Mr. Snyder moved to join the San Antonio office of Martin Drought & Torres, where he became a partner in 2001 and transitioned his legal practice into an international commercial litigation focus.  He formed the law firm Castillo Snyder PC with Jesse Castillo in 2006, and in 2023 established his own law firm as a solo practictioner.    

Ed lived in Barcelona, Spain and Buenos Aires, Argentina before and after college and is fluent in Spanish.  He is married to Aida Cristina Castro- Snyder, who is from Guadalajara Mexico, and they have two sons who have dual citizenship. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder are involved in a variety of philanthropic activities in San Antonio. Ed enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking, reading and is a student of history.
