Tracy Watts

Tracy Watts serves on the San Antonio Book Festival Board as Marketing Chair. A native of Illinois, she has spent the last 20 years in San Antonio giving back to the community through civic engagement and entrepreneurship. In 2016, she earned her Master of Communication Arts from the University of the Incarnate Word and pivoted from marketing to higher education.

Tracy is currently with Alamo Colleges District, where she provides customized training within the Economic and Workforce Development Department. She also taught Business Communications at Texas State University from 2018 to 2021.

Prior to transitioning to higher education, Tracy was a co-founder of DreamWeek and a founding partner of The MightyGroup advertising agency, where she served as Marketing and Community Relations Director for 15 years. In 2015, her agency was recognized by San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside with the “Best Business Role Model Award.” She also received the 2017 Small Business of the Year Award from the Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce.

Tracy serves as a founding board member of the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum and previously served on the San Antonio Public Library Foundation Board, The DoSeum Board, and the San Antonio African American Area Community Fund Steering Committee.

As the proud mother of a son and daughter, Tracy remains deeply committed to strengthening San Antonio through education and meaningful community partnerships.
