PIE Bake Along with Erin Jeanne McDowell

Life is better with a pie in the oven, right? Get into the holiday spirit and join us for a pie bake along led by ERIN JEANNE McDOWELL, author of The Book on Pie, and moderated by MATT LEWIS, co-founder of the popular Brooklyn bakery, Baked.

 

Admission includes a copy of The Book on Pie. This event is presented as a fundraiser for the 9th annual San Antonio Book Festival, which will take place online April 9-11, 2021 and feature an estimated 80 established and emerging writers. Books will be shipped by Nowhere Bookshop or can be picked up locally in San Antonio, Texas.

 

NOTE: All registered attendees will receive via email the private event link and the recipe Erin will be using.

About Erin Jeanne McDowell: Erin works in food media: cooking, writing, and styling all things delicious. Her work has appeared in cookbooks, newspapers, magazines, websites, and ad campaigns. She has a widespread culinary background with an emphasis in baking and pastry. Erin is a two-time IACP food styling + media award nominee, and won for her nomination in 2016. She is ringing in her tenth year working in both digital and print food media.

Erin serves as Recipe Editor for PureWow and Baking Consultant at Large for Food52. Her first book, The Fearless Baker (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) was named one of the Best Baking Books of the year by the New York Times. Erin is based in the New York metro area where she lives with her partner, Derek. Their pup, Brimley, serves as an excellent taste tester + vacuum for fallen bites.

Matt Lewis
